How to schedule a meeting from Gmail

You can turn an email thread into a meeting without leaving Gmail, using its built-in calendar tools.

  1. Open the email or a new message

From the conversation you want to schedule around, or a fresh compose window.

  2. Use the calendar options

In the compose toolbar, open the calendar / 'Set up a time to meet' option (Google Workspace), or open the Calendar panel on the right of Gmail.

  3. Create the event

Add a title, the recipients as guests, and a time. Add Google Meet for a video link.

  4. Send the invite

Save and send — guests receive a calendar invitation alongside your email.

The faster way: share a link, not a time

Every method above has the same gap — you still have to agree the time first. Flip it: instead of proposing slots, share a Calenkli booking link. The other person picks an open slot from your real availability, shown in their own time zone, and the meeting (with a video link) is created automatically.

Stop scheduling by email. Calenkli turns your calendar into a booking link people can use in one click — free, with reminders that cut no-shows.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a faster way than emailing to find a time?

Yes — paste a booking link into your reply. Instead of suggesting times, the recipient opens the link and picks a slot from your availability, in their own time zone. No more email tennis.

Turn time into booked meetings

Calenkli gives you a free booking link: people pick a slot in their own timezone, answer your questions first, and the meeting lands on your calendar automatically.
