How to schedule a meeting in Microsoft Teams

You can schedule a Teams meeting straight from the Teams app's calendar — no need to switch to Outlook.

  1. Open Calendar in Teams

Click Calendar in the left rail of the Teams app.

  2. Click New meeting

Use the New meeting button (top right). A scheduling form opens.

  3. Add title and people

Enter a title and add required (and optional) attendees by email or name.

  4. Choose a time

Set start and end, then open Scheduling assistant to find a slot when everyone is free.

  5. Save and send

Click Save. Teams creates the meeting with a join link and sends invites.

The faster way: share a link, not a time

Every method above has the same gap — you still have to agree the time first. Flip it: instead of proposing slots, share a Calenkli booking link. The other person picks an open slot from your real availability, shown in their own time zone, and the meeting (with a video link) is created automatically.

Stop scheduling by email. Calenkli turns your calendar into a booking link people can use in one click — free, with reminders that cut no-shows.

Frequently asked questions

Can I schedule a Teams meeting with someone outside my company?

Yes — add their email as a guest. But you can't see their availability, so picking a time means asking them. A booking link removes that step entirely: they pick from your open slots.

Turn time into booked meetings

Calenkli gives you a free booking link: people pick a slot in their own timezone, answer your questions first, and the meeting lands on your calendar automatically.
